The court in Quetta has decided to release Imran’s nephew on bail.
Niazi claims that his sole mistake is that he serves as the legal counselor to the PTI chief.
Hassaan Khan Niazi, the nephew and focal point of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, had his bail granted by a Quetta court on Saturday, according to Express News.
The motion for Niazi’s physical detention was denied, and the PTI leader was then granted bail in exchange for surety bonds totaling Rs 100,000. Niazi was then led away by the police under heavy protection.
The PTI leader’s nephew claimed in a statement that his sole mistake was serving as Imran Khan’s legal counsel.
On March 18, Niazi was accused of inciting violence and interfering with police operations, according to a report made by Inspector Abdulllah of the Quetta Airport police station.
According to the case, the sub-inspector received word that 150 persons, including Inayatullah Kakar and others, had blocked Chaman Road in Quetta while he was out on patrol.
Despite police attempts to scatter them, the protesters blocked the road for an hour. It should be noted that the Quetta police did not name Niazi in the FIR.
Following yesterday’s approval of a one-day transit remand by the judicial magistrate in Islamabad, Quetta police took the PTI chief’s nephew into prison and traveled to Balochistan.
On Monday, Niazi was detained by police outside the Islamabad Court Complex for his involvement in hitting law enforcement officers and spreading mayhem in the federal capital.
The arrest is a part of an ongoing campaign against PTI activists and sympathizers who, according to the police, attacked law enforcement officers in Islamabad as they went about their business.
