A police officer on duty at the private school allegedly accidentally fired his weapon, according to police sources.
The suspect is currently in police custody while an inquiry is launched. After the gunshot, there was a stampede as students and staff ran for safety.
A medical team has been dispatched, and those who were hurt have been taken to a local hospital.
Earlier, in the village of Guli Bagh in the Swat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), an unidentified gunman opened fire on a school van, killing the driver and wounding two kids.
According to authorities, the attackers were waiting on a motorcycle and opened fire as the van drove by. Soon after the raid, they escaped without resistance.
Officials from the district said they have evidence that the driver was the intended target.
