Express News reports that on Thursday, the federal government made the Eidul Azha holidays four days long.

From June 28 until July 1, the Eid vacations would be in effect. Since Sunday, July 2, falls on Eidul Azha, government workers will have five days off.

The government had already declared a three-day Eid holiday beginning on Thursday, June 29 and ending on Saturday, July 1.

The moon was spotted on July 19 by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which prompted the statement. The first day of Eidul Azha will be observed on June 29 across Pakistan, according to Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

It was reported that people in Islamabad, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Ghotki, Karachi, Bahawalnagar, and Peshawar had all seen the moon of Zilhaj.

To celebrate Eidul Azha, he declared, “It was unanimously decided that the first of Zilhaj… will fall on June 20, 2023.”

To fulfill one of Islam’s five pillars, and to celebrate the end of the Hajj, Muslims celebrate Eidul Azha.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, June 17, Saudi Arabia confirmed the sighting of the Zilhaj moon, ushering in the Islamic month of Zilhaj beginning Monday, June 19, and paving the way for the celebration of Eidul Azha on Wednesday, June 28.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and a number of other Gulf countries frequently celebrate both Eidul Fitr and Eidul Azha at the same time.
