Bilawal urges the government to prioritize economic growth. I appreciate Shehbaz and Dar giving resources to help flood-ravaged communities recover and rebuild.
On Friday, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari delivered a speech in ISLAMABAD in which he emphasized the importance of keeping Pakistan out of the politics of major world powers and instead concentrating on domestic economic issues.
Bilawal remarked in his address to the National Assembly that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman had led his party down a dead end. In addition, he advocated for international cooperation to eliminate terrorism.
The first order of business is to establish peace and order in Pakistan’s government. The future administration and opposition [after the next general election] will need to act responsibly while upholding the Charter of Democracy if they are to bring about political stability.
Bilawal, who is also the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), emphasized the importance of involving the amenable members of the opposition when developing a plan to achieve political and economic stability.
In an effort to help solve America’s ills, I intend to engage in politics in a constructive manner. But, he went on, “to fix these problems, it is also required to correctly identify [the main reasons].
According to the PPP leader, the PTI leader has cornered his party with his stubbornness in the wake of the attacks on military facilities and vandalism of martyrs’ monuments on May 9.
He proceeded by saying that the PTI leader had been warned repeatedly in parliamentary forums to distance himself from the May 9 riots, but he had ignored those warnings and now his party was in trouble.
He remarked, “On May 9, the PTI protesters attacked the Jinnah House, military installations, the General Headquarters, and the monuments of the martyrs,” adding, “Those involved in the violent attacks do not deserve any leniency.”
He questioned whether or not the perpetrators of similar crimes in the United States or the United Kingdom would have been pardoned in the cause of democracy. He cited the blowback Trump’s followers received after attacking Congress as an example.
Find out how Bilawal puts an end to PML-N feud rumors here.
The events of May 9 were terrorist attacks; there is no politics involved. He made it plain that the PPP would never support anyone who targeted military sites, sensitive locations, or memorials to the slain.
To quote the text of the bill: “There are provisions in the law that those involved in such heinous acts can be tried in the military courts, and it is also the responsibility of parliament, government, and judiciary to establish the writ of the state at every cost.”
He further claimed that the PTI leader was plotting to undermine the IMF’s economic reform initiative. He recalled that both the Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa ministers of finance had been complicit in the scheme.
Aid in the Wake of Flooding
Bilawal expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for allocating monies in the budget for the restoration and rehabilitation of the flood-affected districts and for mobilizing the resources for immediate rescue and relief.
The Minister of Finance, Ishaq Dar, deserves my gratitude. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also deserves our appreciation. We are witnessing the realization of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s pledges,” he continued.
Rebuilding after the flood has begun, and for that we are eternally grateful. “It’s in the plan for next year,” he announced. In addition, he advocated reforms across national institutions to address climate change.
