Maj. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in his first press conference as director general of the ISPR on April 25, said that 8,269 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) had been carried out since January, resulting in the deaths or captures of 1,535 terrorists.
There were 3,591 IBOs in K-P, 4,040 IBOs in Balochistan, 119 IBOs in Punjab, and 519 IBOs in Sindh. The military, police, and LEAs have been conducting over 70 IBOs each day on average since January, he said.
