According to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir voiced his concerns during the 260th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi and pledged the “diplomatic, moral, and political support of the Pakistani nation” to the principled stance of the Palestinians.

He praised the Palestinian people, calling them brothers for their perseverance in the face of unjust occupation of their lands and Muslim holy sites.

During the holy month of Rabiul Awwal, participants offered Fateha for the martyrs of the occurrences in Mastung, Hangu, and Zhob.

The forum also paid a heartfelt tribute to the security forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for the supreme sacrifices they have made and are making to protect the homeland from the threat of terrorism.

Participants also agreed that the state would deal unflinchingly with any terrorists, their facilitators, or abettors who were acting on behalf of enemy powers to undermine Pakistan.

The participants were also briefed on the current geo-strategic environment, risks to national security, and the plan they had developed to deal with these changes.

The Pakistani Army stood firm in their commitment to protect Pakistan’s “sovereignty and territorial integrity against all kinds of direct and indirect threats” at the meeting.

Participants pledged their complete backing for the caretaker government’s strategic objectives to restore the economy and improve the lives of Pakistanis.

The conference also conducted a comprehensive analysis of the measures currently being implemented to combat illicit financial activity. The COAS stressed that “Pakistan Army will continue to provide all-out support to the government and LEAs in taking strict lawful actions against illegal economic activities across the country.”

That “actions against hoarding and smuggling mafias and cartels in different domains will be further strengthened in the coming days to rid the country of the negative impact of such ill practises,” they promised.

As on November 1, 2023, it has also determined to completely support the federal government’s decision to repatriate and expel all unlawful foreigners.

The head of the armed forces has issued orders for the expeditious, dignified, and secure deportation or repatriation of all unlawful aliens.
