Terrorists attacked a Frontier Corps (FC) check post in Dhana Sar, Balochistan, with hand grenades on Sunday, killing three police officers and one FC official, according to reports in QUETTA.

Balochistan’s chief minister, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has spoken out against the attack, saying that terrorists “cannot demoralize the security forces with cowardly acts” and that “the sacrifices of the security forces are a beacon for the nation.”

He added that the country’s security is maintained by law enforcement forces, who do so with unwavering resolve and bravery. “The nation stands with its security forces to thwart the evil intentions of anti-national elements,” Bizenjo said.

The chief minister also sent his condolences to the relatives of the deceased and hoped for a speedy recovery for the injured government employees.

Attack condemned by Governor

The governor of Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, has also spoken out against the hand grenade attack on the Dahanasar check station. He wept bitterly over the death of security officers.

He issued a statement of denunciation, calling for the use of “all available resources” to apprehend individuals responsible for sowing terror and disrupting social order in the region.

In order to foil terrorists’ and saboteurs’ plans, he stated, “we have to show national unity and consensus.”

The Governor of Balochistan offered prayers for the injured and the fast recovery of the deceased, as well as for the families of the martyrs to find the strength to face their losses with dignity.

Someone threw a hand grenade at the Quetta police station in the Civil Lines neighbourhood the day before. One police officer was hurt in the incident, and authorities say he has been taken to a local hospital for treatment. It has been reported that the police officer is safe.

The blast smashed the windows of the police station, however the perpetrators were unharmed in the incident.

The event was reported, and senior police personnel quickly arrived to begin investigating.
