To thwart the NAB investigation into Toshakhana, Bushra Bibi has filed a petition with the IHC.
The former first lady has requested that the NAB not “take disciplinary action” against her until a judgment has been reached about her appeal.
Bushra Bibi, the former first lady of Pakistan and wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, filed a petition with the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday objecting to the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) probe into the Toshakhana case.
The former first lady contested the legality of the summons notifications issued by the NAB and asked the court to declare them void.
She asked that until a decision is reached about the application in which NAB has also been made a party, the NAB inquiry not be turned into an investigation.
Bushra Bibi demanded that “NAB should be directed to cease any disciplinary action against me until a judgment is made on the case.
The hearing for the plea has been scheduled on Monday.
The NAB delivered the summons to Bushra Bibi last week in the Toshakhana case, stopping by Imran’s Zaman Park home.

The PTI leader and his wife were previously called to the accountability watchdog’s Rawalpindi office on March 9 for a probe into the Toshakhana matter.
The summons notice for Imran was delivered to his homes in Bani Gala and Chak Shehzad in Islamabad.
In the notice, NAB accused Imran of breaking the law by selling goods he had acquired during his time in office, including four Rolex watches, an iPhone he had been given by the Qatari Military Forces in 2018, other pricey watches, and other presents.
Due to clashes between the police and PTI workers outside the Islamabad Judicial Complex, Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal on March 18 revoked the arrest warrants issued against the former premier in the Toshakhana case, allowing him to leave after declaring his attendance without being charged.
Imran was due to appear in court to testify over allegations made by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that he failed to disclose information about gifts he received from the Toshakhana in his asset declarations.
