To those who gave their lives in the line of duty, the president of the ICCI pays homage.
ISLAMABAD:
On Friday, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), honored those who had died protecting Pakistan’s borders.
“Martyrs are our pride and the entire nation is indebted to their sacrifices,” he remarked at a ceremony held at the Pakistan Monument in honor of the Youm- e -Takreem Shuhada-e-Pakistan. The event was organized jointly by the ICCI and the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
He remarked that the way his countrymen honored the Martyrs’ Day demonstrated that “we have never forgotten and will never forget the martyrs and ghazis who protected the motherland.” He assured them that the ICCI will always support the military services and law enforcement in difficult circumstances.
CDA Chairman Captain (ret.) Nurul Amin Mengal remarked that remembering the courageous warriors who gave their life for the country was the reason for celebrating Martyrs’ Day.
We owe it to future generations to share and pass on this positive aspect of our heritage.
Pakistan’s true wealth is in the blood of its martyrs and Ghazis. We take great pride in the efforts of our military, law enforcement, and civilians in times of war and the battle against terrorism.
