DG ISPR rejects army chief’s US visit “baseless rumours”
Maj Gen Ahmed Sharif definitely states that COAS is on an official tour to UK from 5–10 Feb.

Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has denied rumours that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, who is currently on an official tour to the UK, will be making an unauthorised trip to the US.
On social media, there have been unfounded rumours that the COAS is visiting the United States. The top military spokesperson confirmed in a tweet on Thursday that the COAS is categorically on an official visit to the UK from February 5 to February 10 in connection with the 5th Pakistan-UK Stabilization Conference.
According to the DG ISPR, the conference is held every two years to foster military to military collaboration between the two nations. Senior military leadership from Pakistan has been taking part in the event since 2016, he continued.
Gen. Asim began a five-day official visit to London on February 5 (Sunday), where he would attend a conference in Wilton Park aimed at fostering bilateral connections between the two nations.
The COAS will also have meetings with the army chief and UK defence officials while in the country.
According to reports, only a small number of government officials and academics are invited to the moot.
