“The manner in which our armed forces, including the air force, police, and intelligence community have risen to the challenges and neutralized threats to our national security is simply outstanding,” he said.
The prime minister praised the PAF leadership for their efforts to modernize the force and make it more professional.
He also mentioned how the PAF displayed its professionalism and resoluteness in responding to Indian aggression in February of this year.
And, “the whole world saw how our brave sons humiliated the Indian Air Force and show of exceptional skill and expertise,” he said.
The prime minister has stated that the global economic crisis has had a severe effect on all classes in the country. But he swore he wouldn’t leave the people vulnerable to the turmoil in the international financial markets.
We must fortify our economy so that it can withstand external shocks. For this reason, he has always been an outspoken supporter of the Charter of Economy, which he stated could be achieved with some “serious thinking” and the implementation of structural reforms in the economy to make it sustainable.
