KUWAIT: In a major diplomatic event, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah met on Wednesday. They agreed to improve ties between the two countries in a number of areas.

A release from the Prime Minister’s Office says that Prime Minister Kakar stressed how important it is for Pakistan to have a good relationship with Kuwait. In his speech, he said again that Pakistan was eager to increase trade, energy, IT, labor, minerals, and capital between the two countries.
Prime Minister Kakar was happy with how well the two countries worked together in different foreign settings. He also praised Kuwait’s efforts to hire Pakistani workers, especially in the infrastructure, security, and healthcare areas.
In response to what Prime Minister Kakar said, the crown prince of Kuwait said that Kuwait’s leaders also wanted to strengthen and expand their relationship with Pakistan.
The main goal of the Caretaker Prime Minister’s two-day official visit to Kuwait is to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that covers a number of different areas. The goal is to turn the six-decade-long diplomatic ties into business partnerships that are good for both sides.
Prime Minister Kakar was greeted by a guard of honor when he arrived at Bayan Palace earlier today. The prime minister was greeted by Kuwait’s Interior Minister, Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and a group of Kuwaiti standing guards gave a salute. There was a formal feel to the visit as the national anthems of both countries played in the background.
It was during the meeting that Prime Minister Kakar met members of the Kuwaiti cabinet and other officials. Key ministers, such as Interim Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar, Energy Minister Muhammad Ali, Commerce Minister Gauhar Ejaz, Climate Change Minister Ahmed Irfan Aslam, and Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, were with him.
The fact that the two countries are still talking and working together shows that they want to improve their international ties and find new ways to work together for the benefit of both. It is expected that signing the MoU will be a key step toward building a strong and long-lasting relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait.
