The PPP has distanced itself from the demand for resignation.
According to Kaira, the PML-N is the sole party interested in the resignation of CJP Bandial.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Peoples Party has demanded a consultation process on the matter, distancing itself from the government’s demand that Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial seek resignation. It also made it clear that the PML-N alone, not the entire coalition, had made the demand and moved the reference.
“The conclusion reached by the three members is not worth the paper it is printed on. On his official Twitter account, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari remarked, “If the CJP cannot put his court in order and correct this farce of justice, then he should let someone else to accept the duty of CJP.”
The Express Tribune was informed by Special Assistant to the PM Qamar Zaman Kaira that Bilawal’s assertion in no way implies that the PPP supports the PML-demand. N’s
Senior party officials attended a meeting of the PPP core committee on Friday night at Zardari House in Islamabad, which was presided over by PPPP President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal.
“Closing off communication is not the answer. The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Secretary General Farhatullah Babar was reported as stating, “For this reason, the party has resolved to engage all the parties in the coalition government for taking a common stand on the topic of discussion among the political parties.
The party said in the statement that a number of factors contributed to the crisis, not the least of which was the demand that the minority court ruling prevail over the majority one. “This viewpoint has to be examined since it is illegal, immoral, and politically incorrect.”
The meeting was attended by Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah, former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, senior party leaders Nayyar Bukhari, Naveed Qamar, and Raza Rabbani, Special Assistant to PM Qamar Zaman Kaira, Sherry Rehman, Shazia Marri, Nisar Khuro, Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, Humayun Khan, Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi, Akhunzada Chattan and Babar.
In a press conference earlier that day, the information minister demanded the CJP’s resignation, arguing that the CJP had now gained notoriety because to Judge Bandial’s alleged slit ruling in the Punjab election case.
In a series of tweets directed at the CJP, PML-N Senior Vice President and Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz demanded his resignation and reminded the government to file a reference against the CJP and other judges. She also accused him of flagrantly breaking the law and the Constitution to benefit the PTI.
According to Kaira, they are a PML-N coalition partner and have independent party positions on all matters pertaining to the state and politics. “Allies may hold the same opinions, but sometimes they don’t,” the allied parties said.
In this case, he noted, the PPP does not have the same views as the PML-N, but “we are not opposing it either.”
He said that the PPP and PML-N had different opinions over whether to move a referral against judges.
We want to speak with the other alliance members to come to a consensus on these problems, he added. According to him, not all of the coalition’s parties agreed on whether to call for the Chief Justice’s resignation or move the reference, which is why the PPP thought coming to a consensus would be better for the government.
