KARACHI:
Sharjeel Inam Memon, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former minister of communication, has stated that power is the most pressing issue right now.

He went on to say that PPP’s goal is to bring assistance to the people by addressing the problem of inflated electricity bills that have arisen as a result of erroneous meter readings.
At a press conference held in Bilawal House in Karachi, Memon said the PPP is aware of the electricity problem. He was joined at the event by former local government minister Nasir Shah.
The party’s administration prioritized energy initiatives.
There have been major advances in this direction.
Sharjeel brought out the undesirable issue of approximated billing leading to erroneous electricity charges.
He emphasized the importance of government aid during times of hardship.
