Where did you go?
MUNSIF ALI KHAN: Baku, Azerbaijan.
Why did you go?
MAK: I actually went for a shoot as we were told it’s a beautiful place to visit, which I witnessed for myself. Baku itself and its people were absolutely beautiful.
What did you pack?
MAK: I packed my tracksuits and trainers along with jackets because it was cold there.
What was favourite restaurant?
MAK: Dolma in Old City Baku was just amazing.
What was the biggest highlight of your trip or your most memorable moment?
MAK: For me the most memorable thing was going to the Caucasus Mountains (with which we were familiar only through books before) so that would surely be considered a major highlight of the trip.
Favourite shopping destination?
MAK: The Park Bulvar mall.
Some sights worth seeing?
MAK: Caucasus Mountains for sure and the city view from my room, which was on the 26th floor of the Flame Towers.
What are some spots for a night out?
MAK: To be honest, the night life is not that much fun there but if I had to pick a spot, I’d say the Enerji Club, which was quiet nice.
Travel essentials?
MAK: Warmers and scarves (I’m so fond of scarves).
Any travel tips you would like to share
MAK: If you ever get a chance to visit Baku, do visit the Caucasus Mountains. That place is like heaven on earth so trust me you won’t regret it.
