Imran breaks the quiet around the failed assassination attempt.
The PTI leader alleges knowledge of the conspiracy, names three individuals, and calls on supporters to continue the protests.

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), urged his supporters on Friday to keep protesting the attempted murder of him until those responsible for the conspiracy resigned from their jobs.

Imran Khan claimed in a video message from the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) that he was aware of the conspiracy to assassinate him either in Wazirabad or Gujarat in advance.

Imran was wounded by a gunshot to his leg while leading the PTI’s “Haqeeqi Azadi March” in Wazirabad on Thursday. A shooter opened fire on his container. In the event, one person died and numerous PTI leaders were hurt.

Imran was transported to the SKMCH in Lahore right away after the shooting. The PTI leader was shot four times in the leg, according to the hospital’s CEO, Dr. Faisal Sultan.

The PTI chairman broke his silence in his video address and said that three people were responsible for the failed murder attempt on him: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and a top military commander.

He urged his party’s members and supporters to keep raising awareness of the attempted murder until the three “accused” resigned. The three, he claimed, “controlled all agencies,” thus their resignations were essential for a fair investigation.

Don’t ever give up your independence. Protesting is your right, he declared, pushing his supporters to “completely engage” in the demonstration calling for the three “suspects” to quit.

The PTI chairman declared, “I will take to the streets shortly after recovering and will issue a call for [march towards] Islamabad. Additionally, he requested that the army chief order the concerned senior military official to resign.

Additionally, Imran gave information on the assault on him at Wazirabad, claiming that there were two gunmen. “A “burst of gunshots” was fired at me as I was standing on the container. I was shot in the leg and collapsed, the man claimed.

Then there were two persons in a second blast, “He added that he would not have lived if the two bursts had occurred simultaneously. He added that a man who identified himself as an extremist had been detained.

The previous prime minister affirmed, “He is not an extreme.” “We will find out what the attempt’s hidden purpose was.” Additionally, he claimed to have knowledge that “the script of religious extremism” would be employed.

Imran claimed that the same military official was responsible for torturing key PTI figures Shehbaz Gill and Senator Azam Swati when they were being held in custody. The army commander has a responsibility to act against the “black sheep”.

Imran warned that assassination attempts were being undertaken against the leader of the main political party in the nation. He remarked, “We haven’t learned anything from the past, like the disaster in East Pakistan.

Imran explained the motivations behind the attempted assassination, claiming that the “conspirators” chose to kill him because to the large-scale public support for the long march.

He continued, “Establishment is not cognizant of the ground realities,” adding, “They [Establishment] are determined upon implementing their decision even though they know that the people are not ready to accept this imported administration.”

He claimed that during the most recent long march, PTI employees and supporters were subjected to torture and intimidation because the ruling class believed that such measures would cause the party to “vanish.” The concerned military official “promised” his superiors that he would handle the PTI lengthy march.

“Three people came up with a plan after realising how big the throng was getting during the long march. They desired to attribute my death to religious extremists, he claimed.

Sana killed individuals in Model Town under the previous Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) administration to put an end to the lengthy march, Imran continued. He stated that Shehbaz Sharif murdered around 900 individuals in staged encounters in the 1990s.

The PTI leader questioned, “Where is Pakistan heading with such policies. Nations that abandon their ideologies perish. There is no justice here, he declared, adding that the three accused must step down before an investigation into his attempted murder can be conducted.

He begged Pakistan’s Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial to “please save the country, sahib.” A leader of the “sole federal party,” which had the potential to bring the nation together, was being targeted for murder, he continued.

Imran stated that only political parties could maintain the country’s unity, adding that “East Pakistan would not have split” if the military had been able to do so.

Imran claimed that because the people “clearly signalled through by-polls that they would not support the coalition government led by PML-N,” the establishment was not prepared to recognise their decision.

Imran claimed that in the case of illegal fundraising, the “imported administration” attempted to dissolve his party, and that he was disqualified in the Toshakhana reference “on the orders of [PML-N supremo] Nawaz Sharif to ensure level-playing field.”

“Martial justice under Musharraf was preferable to what exists today… Although it was a liberal era, journalists are now being arrested and tortured for endorsing PTI.
