No complaints have been received from the KSA regarding the gift watch: FO
According to a spokesperson, arrangements for the visit of the Saudi crown prince to Pakistan are now being finalized.

ISLAMABAD:
Imran Khan is the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and a former prime minister. On Thursday, the Foreign Office stated that it was not aware of any complaint from the Saudi authorities over the wristwatch that was given to Khan as a gift.

During her weekly briefing with the media, the spokesperson for the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, stated that the Saudi authorities have not yet lodged any formal objections, either in written or verbal form, regarding the present.

A representative for the Foreign Office stated that preparations were being made for Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman to travel to Pakistan in the near future. According to her, the Foreign Office never publicised the dates of the visit or whether or not the visit would be cancelled.

The visit is currently in the process of being postponed, and new dates for the visit are currently being finalised in collaboration with the Saudi side. “This tour bears tremendous importance as it would be HRH’s first visit to Pakistan after assuming his Office as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” Mumtaz added. “This would be HRH’s first visit to Pakistan after assuming his Office as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

“The highlight of the visit would be the holding of the second meeting of the Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council (SPSCC), and signing of a number of MoUs covering various areas including economic, trade, culture, and investment,” she maintained. “The visit would also include a number of other MoUs covering various areas.”

She also stated that Geneva is expected to host a conference of foreign donors to seek cash for the victims of the floods in Pakistan. This conference would be organized to seek funds.

“Yes, we currently have conversations going on, and it seems likely that the conference will take place in Geneva. “Once the dates have been finalized, we will share them with you,” Mumtaz said to the reporters during her first press briefing after being appointed as the spokesman for the Foreign Office. Mumtaz was given this position.

It is anticipated that the United Nations and France will work together to jointly host the summit. At first, it was speculated that the donors’ meeting could take place in the French capital of Paris.

33 million people have been impacted by the flooding that was caused by the exceptional monsoon rainfall. The arrival of winter has made life much more difficult for those whose homes were damaged by flooding, and certain areas of the Sindh province remain submerged in water as a result.

According to Pakistan’s estimations, the total damages amount to $30 billion, and the country would require $16 billion for the reconstruction phase.

Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s current Prime Minister, has been telling members of the international community that Pakistan requires funding rather than debt. Many commentators are of the opinion that it will be difficult for the nation to amass such a substantial sum of money.

When asked whether the country had been successful in convincing the international community, the spokesperson responded by stating that Pakistan had effectively highlighted its stance not only at COP27 but also during the proceedings of the UNGA and various bilateral interactions that took place at different levels ever since the floods hit the country.

“We have brought attention to the disastrous impact that climate change is having on underdeveloped countries such as Pakistan. “There is an understanding on a global scale that Pakistan is one of the countries that would be most severely impacted by climate change,” she stated.

“Pakistan is not the only country that is at risk from the effects of climate change. “What we are going through right now could happen to anyone, anywhere,” she emphasised.

Regarding the incident that occurred in Chaman, the spokesperson stated that the subject was brought up with the authorities in Afghanistan.

According to her statements, on November 13, an unidentified gunman opened fire on Pakistani security officers who were stationed at the Chaman border crossing point. This resulted in the death of one Pakistani soldier and injured many others.

The security camera footage, on the other hand, gave the impression that the attacker was a member of the Afghan Taliban.

“The matter has been brought to the attention of the authorities in Afghanistan, and an inquiry is presently underway. “Those individuals who were stranded at the border have been given permission to cross, and we will continue to monitor the situation and take an active role in resolving it,” she said.
