In the Kohlu operation, nine BLA militants were killed by gunfire.
During the operation, the security forces managed to capture three terrorists who were already injured, according to the ISPR.
According to the military, the security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) against the Baloch Republican Army (BLA) on Saturday in Balochistan’s Kohlu. As a result of the operation, nine terrorists were killed and three injured terrorists were arrested.
Since the explosion in Kohlu Bazar on September 30, which resulted in the deaths of two persons and injuries to 19, intelligence agencies have reportedly been on the lookout for the terrorists, as reported by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
It was reported that terrorists affiliated with the BLA were responsible for kidnapping people in the area for the purpose of demanding a ransom, extortion, and attacks on members of the security forces.
In addition, according to the ISPR, the terrorists were responsible for targeting engineers and labourers who were working on development projects in the province. Terrorists were making preparations to launch assaults in Kohlu, Kahan, and Mawand at this time.
According to the military’s media wing, the operation began at six in the morning and was marked by a ferocious exchange of fire between the forces of security and the terrorists who were surrounded by the forces of security.
In addition, a search operation conducted by the security forces is currently taking place in the region, it was stated.
The Inter-Battalion Operation (IBO) that was launched on November 18 to clear a hideout of terrorists linked with firing incidents on security forces and civilians as well as planting of improvised explosive devices on M-8 in Balochistan reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least two terrorists, according to the ISPR.
It was stated in a statement that as a consequence of ongoing information gathering, surveillance, and reconnaissance of the region, a position of the terrorists was found, and security personnel were “heli inserted” in the general vicinity of Balor, Hoshab.
During the process of establishing positions by security forces, two terrorists opened fire on the troops from a nearby building.
During an IBO that took place in the approximate vicinity of Kaman Pass, close to Shahrig in Balochistan, a month ago, two troops chose the path of death, while four terrorists were gunned down and killed.
According to the ISPR, the security forces established blocking positions, which led to an exchange of fire between terrorists and the soldiers. The ISPR reports that the exchange of fire resulted in the soldiers’ deaths as martyrs.
