Sharjeel Memon, who has been at the forefront of the PPP’s fight for democracy.
On the eve of the 55th anniversary of the party’s foundation, a minister from Sindh holds a power show in his home area.
On the eve of the 55th anniversary of the party’s foundation, the Minister of Information and Transport for Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, gave a magnificent homage to the leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), saying that the PPP has always battled for democracy. This took place in Karachi.
Memon warned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan that the people of Sindh would greet him with eggs and tomatoes if he came to Sindh while he was speaking at a rally at Tando Jam, which is located near Hyderabad.
“Imran Niazi should be subjected to the same treatment that he meted out to his political rivals while he was in office; the same should be done to him” (PTI chief). If Imran Khan does come to “conquer” Sindh, the people will greet him with tomatoes and eggs, according to what he said.
A significant public display of authority was staged by the minister in his home constituency. The event was attended by a sizable number of party workers as well as residents of the surrounding neighbourhood. At the very beginning, Memon extended his best wishes to everyone for the party’s Foundation Day celebration.
“The leaders of the PPP have always risked their lives in order to fight for democracy and the rule of the people in this country. According to what he indicated, there is not a single political party in Pakistan whose entire leadership has been eliminated.
Memon, in reference to the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who served as the founding chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), stated, “his main flaw was that he talked about people’s rule and making Pakistan a powerful country.”
“As PPP Jayalas, we take great pride in our affiliation. We are quite proud of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), which was responsible for Pakistan being the first nuclear power in the Muslim world. Our former leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the one who conceptualised our nation’s nuclear programme, he went on to say.
“Shaheed Benazir Bhutto did everything for the rights of women,” he said, adding that “Zulfikar Bhutto gave Pakistan the Constitution, health facilities, and policies for farmers and labourers.” He said that “Zulfikar Bhutto gave Pakistan the Constitution, health facilities, and policies for farmers and labourers.”
Benazir Bhutto is also credited with giving the nation the technology necessary to produce missiles. We are proud that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was responsible for the establishment of the First Women’s Bank, women’s police stations, basic health care, and basic educational opportunities.
Memon lauded PPP Co-Chairman Asif Zardari, attributing to him the credit for assisting those who were in need through the Benazir Income Support Program. As part of this scheme, victims of the flood will receive R25,000 for themselves individually.
He stated that Imran Niazi and his gang had left Pakistan in tough situations; however, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in his capacity as foreign minister of Pakistan, was successful in removing the country from the grey list maintained by the Financial Action Task Force.
“Bilawal Bhutto conveyed a message to the whole world that we should have climate justice,” he added, adding that the PPP would provide every conceivable help to the people whose homes were damaged by the floods so that they can rebuild them.
Memon stated, in reference to the PTI rally that took place in Rawalpindi three days earlier, that the Jiyalas of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari organised a significantly larger power display with only two days’ notice.
He expressed his gratitude to the people of his district for continuing to vote for him even though he was incarcerated. While addressing on a more personal level, the Minister of Information for the province of Sindh stated, “We are grateful to the people.”
Memon, in an effort to criticise Imran, stated that “one person was misleading” the people. He claimed that the leader of the PTI was responsible for the degeneration of the younger generation by drawing them into anarchy and plotting against the established authorities.
“Imran Khan has been caught in a number of lies. However, it turned out that he was the most dishonest person in the world, despite the fact that he gave the public the impression that he was a highly honest person. “He engaged in money laundering while also plundering the public treasury,” the accusation read.
“He [Imran] established amnesty schemes, peddled Toshakhana gifts, and ridiculed the Election Commission [of Pakistan (ECP)] as well as the judiciary and the institutions. Is he beyond the reach of the law?”
Imdad Patafi, a member of the Sindh Assembly, stated as he was speaking at the event that the PPP could not be destroyed by anyone. On this occasion, we also heard from Rawal Sharjeel Memon and Javed Nayab Laghari, who are both presidents of the People’s Youth Sindh.
The gathering was brought to a close with an impressive fireworks show. Later on, Memon expressed his thoughts on the matter in a tweet, saying, “It was the show of just one provincial constituency.” The ground was completely covered in people, and the main roadways were teeming with Jiyalas. It was a huge improvement from the PTI disaster show in Pindi. The media serves as a witness.
On Wednesday, the PPP will be marking the 55th anniversary of its founding (today). The most important part of the celebration will take place in Karachi’s Nishtar Park, where a public gathering will be attended by caravans travelling from various locations throughout the province.
