BALI, INDONESIA:
On Thursday, Pakistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that democracy was the cornerstone of an enlightened society, and he emphasised the significance of democratic nations in developing countries working together to address the issues they face in common.

The appeal for reform of international financial institutions came from Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs during his speech at the 15th Bali Democracy Forum, which was held in the popular tourist destination of Bali.

He stated that the people of Pakistan have always worked toward making their democracy more focused on the people.
In his speech, Bilawal emphasised the importance of democracies all over the world re-inventing themselves in order to become more responsive to the demands of their people and cooperating with one another in order to create solutions that are centred on people.

The Foreign Minister of Afghanistan gave a speech at the International Conference on Afghan Women’s Education while he was in Afghanistan. He emphasised the necessity of developing assistance programmes that are both concrete and practical, and that they should be of use to all segments of society. In addition to this, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the health and development of the Afghan people.

A stop in Indonesia allowed the foreign minister to take part in the Bali Democracy Conference before continuing on to Singapore. A meeting between Bilawal and his Indonesian counterpart, Retno Marsudi, and the Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Bisera Turkovic, took place on the margins of the Bali summit.

Pakistan and Indonesia came to the conclusion during their discussion with Marsudi that they should create a joint ministerial committee (JMC) in order to strengthen their bilateral engagements and cooperation in a variety of spheres. After that, the two ministers of foreign affairs signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the joint meeting committee’s establishment.
In addition, Bilawal had a meeting with Dr. Turkovic, during which they talked about the possibility of working together on high-level exchanges, commerce, and other mechanisms of bilateral cooperation.

They came to an understanding that they should expand their bilateral collaboration in areas that would lead to observable results.
