The Supreme Court was informed that there are 974 “missing persons” in detention and 616 in prisons.
According to the commission, 3,743 people who were reported missing have been found safe and sound.

ISLAMABAD:
On Thursday, the Commission on Missing Persons delivered a report to the Supreme Court (SC), in which it was revealed that 974 persons who had been declared missing were being held in detention centers, and 616 were being held in prisons.

According to the report, there were 81 persons who were able to return to their houses in the month of November.

A total of 9,133 reports of people going missing were received, and the commission was able to locate 5,574 of those people, while 3,743 returned home, according to the report.

According to the report, authorities located a total of 241 bodies of people who had been reported missing.

In addition to this, it stated that a total of 6,926 cases involving missing persons had been resolved, while there were still 2,207 cases involving missing persons open as of November 30.

According to the report, the commission handled 98 cases during the month of November, while 101 were received and processed.
