Iran condemns the Panjgur extremist attack.
The Iranian Embassy has expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and stated that both countries are “victims of heinous terrorism.”
The Balochistan district of Panjgur was the scene of a militant attack on Wednesday that left at least four security officers dead. The Iranian Embassy in Islamabad denounced the attack on Thursday.
According to the embassy, “terrorism is an issue that both Iran and Pakistan share, with both of these neighbors falling victim to that awful phenomenon.”
The Iranian embassy in the nation’s capital also sent its condolences to the victims’ families.
The military’s media arm, ISPR, had earlier claimed that “the terrorists exploited Iranian turf to target a convoy of security forces” that were manning the border. The names of the deceased troops were given as Sepoy Asad Ali, Lance Naiks Fareed Ullah Khan, Abdul Razzaq, and Muhammad Younas Khan in the announcement.
Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, has also vehemently denounced the terrorist act.
According to PM Shehbaz, “the nation pays honour to the sacrifices of its martyred warriors in the line of duty.”
The act has been condemned by both President Arif Alvi and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, Pakistan’s Minister of Information and Broadcasting, expressed her profound sorrow for the deaths of the four security force members.
Speaking to reporters, she stated that although the assailants aimed to damage Pakistan and Iran’s bilateral relations, “our morale is high and our security forces are committed to destroy the terrorists.”
