QUETTA: The BHC overturns MPA’s suspension.In QUETTA, the Balochistan High Court ruled on Friday that Mohammad Khan Toor’s suspension was not valid and would not have any legal consequences.
The former MPA was kicked out of the election by the Election Commission of Pakistan on April 10, 2019. The decision was given by Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Gul Hasan Tareen.
The court overturned the petitioner’s ban under Article 62(1)(F) by the ECP in the order in question, which was dated 10-04-2019. The court said that the disqualification is invalid and has no legal effect.
“This order of the Election Commission has no constitutional status,” it said.
