A statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday said that Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir stressed the need to be ready for battle and have quick thinking in order to deal with a “multi-spectral threat paradigm.”
The army chief was at a Corps Level Collective Training event for the Mangla-based Strike Corps.
“The goal of the exercise is to test offensive operational ideas.” According to the ISPR, he saw an impressive show of complicated movements led by an armored formation with cutting-edge VT-4 tanks.
During his visit, General Asim also said again that training that is realistic and mission-oriented during peacetime can ensure “excellence on the battlefield should the need arise.”
He also met troops who were taking part in the exercises and praised how professional and effective they were.
When the army chief got there, the head of Mangla Corps met him.
