Pakistan strongly opposed the terrorist attack on Rask Police Headquarters in the southeast of Iran on Sunday. The attack killed 11 Iranian officials and hurt many more.
At least 11 Iranian police officers were killed in an attack on a police station in the province of Sistan-Baluchistan on Friday night.
The Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice) group said they were behind the attack in a short message on their Telegram account. Iran has put Jaish al-Adl on a list of “terrorist” groups since it was founded in 2012.
“Pakistan stands fully with the government and the brotherly people of Iran in this terrible hour of tragedy,” a spokesperson for the Foreign Office said.
A spokesperson said that they sent their deepest condolences to the families of the victims and hoped that the injured would get better quickly.
“Terrorism was a threat to globally and regionally shared peace and security, and it had to be dealt with in any way possible, including through cooperation between two or more countries,” the spokesperson added.
