On Tuesday and beyond, Karachi is expected to be slammed by a new wave of cold weather, so locals are preparing for yet another cold spell.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the minimum temperature would drop to about 10 degrees as a result of the chilly winds that are blowing at a higher-than-normal intensity.

Temperatures in the city dropped significantly on Sunday, with a high of 26.5 degrees Celsius and a low of 13.5 degrees.

The PMD Early Warning Centre has predicted that a new wave of cold weather will arrive on Tuesday, with strong winds from the northeast and east causing the cold weather to be more intense than before.

According to PMD Chief Sardar Sarfraz, the city is feeling the effects of the latest western system’s frigid winds.

Temperatures in the single digits are still quite unlikely, however they could fall. More weather changes are likely, as Sarfraz pointed out, because another western system is predicted to reach Balochistan by the month’s end. But visibility had been obstructed by the morning fog.

Even while the port city’s winters are mild in comparison to those in the north, that’s still not enough to stop people from flocking to food streets for Gajar Ka Halwa, soup, and coffee.

Additionally, the downtown secondhand apparel stores are booming.

Nighttime gusts of cold wind can be especially dangerous for motorcyclists, who should always wear heavy jackets.

In addition, it is not uncommon to see motorcycle families with infants dressed in the most adorable wool rompers, often including illustrations of fairies or cartoon figures.
