Prior to an election rally, his elderly father, former Punjab governor Mian Azhar, was “arrested” by the police, according to Hammad Azhar, a former federal minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Hammad Azhar made this statement on Sunday.

In a post that Hammad made on the social media site X, he stated that his father, who is 82 years old and is running for the NA-129 constituency as an independent candidate endorsed by the PTI, intends to “exercise his democratic and constitutional right by leading a rally.”

Today, Pakistan has been reduced to a total fascist regime that has no respect for human rights and does not adhere to the rule of law. “Nawaz Sharif and his daughter are the ones who are destroying the country and calling the shots.”

The leader of the PTI stated that his father was arrested for organizing an electoral rally; however, the police stated that the action was done in response to a violation of the code of conduct established by the electoral Commission.

As a result of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announcing a rally in Lahore today, Section 144 was implemented throughout the state.

Multiple videos were included in another post that was made on the social media site X that is used by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Lahore. These films showed a significant number of people showing their support for the party. Rallies are taking place in every single location. According to a tweet, “no one will be able to save the runaway Nawaz on February 8,” despite the fact that police violence was committed.

Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), issued a directive earlier this week to all candidates for the PTI who are running for national and provincial assemblies in Lahore to take part in a power show on Sunday (today).

Before the upcoming elections on February 8, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has declared its plan to hold public rallies around the country.

As the elections draw closer, the party is facing enormous challenges as a result of an apparent increase in authoritative acts taken by the state apparatus, notably in Punjab, which is the largest province in the country.

In order to combat the lack of opportunities that are available to all, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has adopted a novel strategy of conducting their election campaign through the use of the internet and social media.

Following the conclusion of a judicial struggle that was unsuccessful in protecting its distinctive election emblem, the “bat,” the party has successively developed websites that are designed to aid voters in recognizing candidates who are supported by the PTI and the symbols that they use.

It is the first major power display that the PTI has held across the country since the protests on May 9.

9th of May

The party found itself in a difficult situation as a result of the events that took place on May 9. In an unprecedented display of vandalism, protesters who were allegedly affiliated with the PTI vandalized public and state properties. They even attacked the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi and Jinnah House in Lahore, which was the residence of the corps commander.

On the orders of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the paramilitary Rangers detained the PTI head in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case, which was later renamed the £190 million scandal. The attacks took place a few hours after the arrest, and they took place on the premises of the Islamabad High Court.

A strong crackdown was carried out against the previous leaders of the ruling party as well as activists after the violence that took place.
