Nawaz Sharif, the supreme leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was asked to apologize on Sunday by the Awami National Party (ANP) for his comment in which he referred to the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa as “fools.”

Among our people, there are some who are easily duped. Individuals from the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region are the most susceptible to being duped. Earlier in the day, while Nawaz was in Lahore launching the manifesto of his party, he stated that this sickness had originated from that region (K-P).

Samar Haroon Bilour, a spokeswoman for the ANP, stated in a post on X that to use language of this nature is inappropriate for the leader of the PML-N and for a person who has achieved three times the position of premier to refer to the people of a province as fools.

She further mentioned that Nawaz’s remark was made during a period in which his own daughter, Maryam Nawaz, was carrying out canvassing activities in the region.

The question is, “On what basis are these individuals seeking the vote of people?” posed the question to Bilour.

When asked about the PML-N, the spokesperson for the ANP stated that the same party had previously refused to grant the people of K-P the rights that were rightfully theirs. In addition, she stated, “Perhaps Nawaz is repeating the past.”

“We know that any individual who has a domicile from Punjab is considered respectable in this country, but the leaders of K-P are still present.”

The spokesperson for the ANP condemned Nawaz for his language and requested that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo give a public apology and retract his statement against the people of K-P province.

Earlier in the day, Nawaz made a controversial statement on the current situation in K-P. He asserted that those individuals who had left the country in a state of disarray were the ones who had initially caused the disruption.

The outcome of the ‘Naya Pakistan’ that was promised by Imran Khan, the founder of the PTI, was called into doubt by him, and he criticized the people of K-P for bringing forth the PTI into power.

This is what the folks of K-P have to say. The province has made any progress? “Has the film ‘Naya Pakistan’ been produced?” he inquired.

During his speech at a rally, the leader of the PML-N asked the participants about the circumstances behind the promise of ‘Naya Pakistan’ that was made by the founder of the PTI.

In the event that his party was elected to power on February 8, Nawaz pledged to implement a multitude of development projects in K-P.
