While PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif exclusively considers the welfare of the people, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has stated that those who had the intention of causing chaos in the nation are currently doing the same.

“Nawaz Sharif doesn’t consider politics or his personal interests. He considers the interests of the people and Pakistan constantly. We are working to prevent any other tragedies or crises for Pakistan,” Shehbaz declared.

He continued by saying that those whose goal it was to promote havoc are still attempting to do so. He did not specify who he was referring to, though.

Speaking to a number of returning candidates who on Saturday declared their intention to join the PML-N, the PML-N president—who is expected to lead a ruling coalition comprising the PML-N, the PPP, the MQM, the IPP, and the BAP—was addressing them.

Three candidates declared their entry into the PML-N: Ahmad Nawaz Nawani, who won from PP-90 Bhakkar, Amir Inayat Shahani, who won from PP-92 and PP-93 Bhakkar seats, and Rashid Akbar Nawani, who won from National Assembly constituency NA-92 Bhakkar.

Malik Tariq Awan of K-P Assembly constituency PK-82 and Hasham Inamullah Khan of K-P Assembly constituency PK-106 both declared their intention to join the party.

These independent contenders stated that they were confident in Nawaz Sharif’s ability to govern and that they believed only the PML-N could help the nation overcome its problems. They are cordially invited, Shehbaz Sharif said, adding that nobody benefits from political unrest in the nation.

Pakistan’s economic difficulties necessitate collaboration among all parties. “We want Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to progress. We have saved the country from default before, and that remains our priority,” he continued. But the only way to make this progress feasible is to stop terrorism.

Following the removal of the PTI-led federal government due to a no-trust vote, Shehbaz held the position of prime minister from April 2022 until August 2023.

After a self-imposed four-year exile, Nawaz Sharif returned to Pakistan in October 2023. Following the disclosure of the Panama Papers, accusations of corruption against the supreme head of the PML-N were also dropped.
Even though the PML-N emerged victorious in the general elections on February 8th, it was unable to secure enough seats to form a government on its own.

In light of these circumstances and the ongoing controversy surrounding the general elections, which many now believe were heavily rigged, Nawaz made the decision not to seek the position of prime minister this time around. Instead, the PML-N nominated his younger brother, Shehbaz, to be the party’s nominee for prime minister.
