KARACHI:
In order to reach the yearly goal of $5 billion in bilateral commerce, Ankara and Islamabad must cooperate, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday.
According to an official statement, PM Shehbaz called on the two sides to strengthen their bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, including commerce, defence, connectivity, and culture, during a meeting with Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Pacaci at the prime minister’s office in Islamabad.
He stated that Pakistan and Turkey would continue to assist each other on fundamental issues as they have done in the past.
PM Shehbaz congratulated Turkiye on the successful flight of the country’s own fifth generation fighter aircraft, the KAAN, and expressed gratitude for the congrats he received from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan shortly after his reelection.
Reiterating his invitation to Erdogan to come to Islamabad, he stated that the Pakistani people eagerly await his arrival, which would also present an opportunity to hold in-depth discussions during the High Level Strategic Coordination Council’s seventh session.
Pacaci, on the other hand, wished Sharif well on his reelection, expressed congratulations from Turkiye’s leadership, and highlighted the value of fortifying the bonds between brothers.
