24-carat gold prices increased in the local bullion markets, reaching PKR 243,300 per tola after rising by PKR 1,000.
In a similar vein, 10 grams of gold cost PKR 857 more to reach PKR 208,590.
On the other hand, the price of silver did not fluctuate; one tola was valued at PKR 2,850, and ten grams at PKR 2,443.41.
According to bullion market representatives, the local price of gold per tola is set PKR 3,000 below the international rate because of a decline in purchasing activity.
