According to Express News, Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has established a three-member committee to examine governmental matters as a response to allegations of corruption in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The move was made after provincial minister Shakeel Khan expressed concerns regarding provincial corruption.
Qazi Anwar, a former governor, and Musaddiq Abbasi, an anti-corruption advisor, make up the committee.
Their responsibility is to provide Imran Khan with a comprehensive report on the K-P government’s operations.
“The three-member committee has been established under the guidance of our founder, and we will strictly adhere to the directives issued by him,” Shah Farman stated, confirming the committee’s formation.
This development comes as a result of a meeting between Minister Shakeel Khan and Imran Khan, at which the minister voiced concerns regarding corruption in various provincial departments.
The formation of the committee demonstrates Imran Khan’s dedication to addressing these issues and ensuring government transparency.
Underscoring the PTI’s focus on eliminating corruption in the region, the new committee intends to investigate the allegations and present their findings to the leader.
