In light of rising political tensions, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has urged the federal government to dissolve the National Assembly and hold fresh elections.

This exhortation came from PPP Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, who underlined the requirement for a new command in the event that the public authority feels undermined.

Bukhari stated, “If the government perceives a threat, it should dissolve the assembly and initiate new elections” in an interview with a private television channel.

He suggested that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif send President Asif Ali Zardari a directive to dissolve the assembly and set up elections.

Bukhari expressed concern regarding the government’s unwillingness to discuss its concerns with the PPP. PPP is prepared to bolster the government in Parliament, but it ought to deliver something significant. Bukhari stated, “There must be a willingness to engage in dialogue, but President Zardari has repeatedly stated his willingness to mediate discussions and play a constructive role.”

He warned that the nation could suffer if the political system fell apart.

The PPP leader also thought about how, despite reservations, the party accepted the election results. With reservations, we accepted the election results. Would the Parliament and the Office of the Chief Executive exist today if we hadn’t backed the PML-N? He questioned, highlighting the PPP’s contribution to government stability.
