Wednesday, a huge fire broke out in the furniture shops of an apartment block near Karachi’s Ayesha Manzil. Firefighters are working to put out the flames.

According to stories from the media citing SSP Central Faisal Abdullah Chachar, the flats above the shops are also being affected. People are being evacuated from the building.

He said that the fire department has asked for 12 fire engines, a snorkel, and a bowser, among other things.

Rescue officials say that one person in critical condition has been safely taken out of the building so far.

Rescuers also said that the fire started because of a short circuit, which is what the preliminary probe shows. It was said that the fire also damaged many cars and motorbikes that were parked near the apartment that was on fire.

A spokesperson for the Pakistan Navy said that the navy’s fire trucks and staff had also arrived at the scene of the event and were helping to put out the fire.

He said that the Pakistan Navy would do everything it could to help put out the fire.

Sources told Express News that millions of rupees worth of goods have been burned up, but shop owners are working hard to save their things.

The water hydrants near Sakhi Hassan and NIPA are now subject to an emergency.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has heard about what happened and has told the Karachi Commissioner to make sure the people inside the building are safe.

He stressed how important it was to use all available tools to put out the fire.

Murtaza Wahab, the mayor of Karachi, said that the fire department is working hard to put out the fire. He said that it would be too soon to guess how many people were inside the building.

Wahab said, “Our efforts are focused on stopping the fire from spreading any further at this time,” which showed that the government was serious about stopping the fire from spreading.

After hearing about what happened, Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar told the authorities to quickly put out the fire.

He told the commissioner and deputy commissioner to keep an eye on things themselves and told the officials to get people out of the area as soon as possible to safety.

He also told more fire departments to get to the scene of the accident quickly and put out the fire.
