According to a spokesperson for the FO, the Tajik president signed cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding in several crucial industries.

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office reported on Thursday that Pak-Afghan officials were in contact with the Chaman incident, in which Afghan forces launched rockets into Pakistani territory from across the Chaman border, resulting in six civilian deaths and more than twenty-four injuries.

The president of Tajikistan is in Pakistan for a two-day visit, and today he met with both the Senate chairwoman and the minister of defense, according to FO Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch.

Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) and cooperation agreements were inked during his visit in a number of significant fields, including commerce, climate change, and transportation.

Baloch said that the Central Asia-South Asia (CASA-1000) power line was a landmark project, according to the president of Tajikistan.

Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, will also travel to Dushanbe in 2019.

The spokesperson further emphasized that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto visited the US and had meetings with the US deputy secretary general and US president of the UN General Assembly.

António Guterres, the UN Secretary General, will meet with FM Bilawal today.

The spokesperson said that during his visit to Pakistan, OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha traveled to the Line of Control and met with PM Shehbaz. He also had meetings with Azad Kashmir’s president and prime minister.

She stated that a donors’ conference for the rehabilitation of flood victims will be held in Geneva in January 2019 and will be hosted by UNSG António Guterres and PM Shehbaz.
