On the occasion of the International Day of Forests, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz urged the public to support the Plant for Pakistan initiative.
She stated in a message that the earth gives us life, food, and a means of subsistence and emphasized the need to take care of the newly planted trees.
“Plant a tree to help clean up the environment, allow people to breathe freely, and contribute to Punjab’s continued beautification and greening of the country. “Plant a tree and eliminate the risks associated with smog,” she said.
She stated that the students should spearhead the effort, which was giving away free saplings.
The plantation record will be preserved using GIS and QR codes for the first time.
“I’m pleading with everyone in Punjab to plant trees. In honor of their parents and in honor of their children, youngsters ought to plant trees.
In order to revitalize the country, the CM called on businesspeople, laborers, farmers, doctors, media professionals, industrialists, and farmers to join the campaign. She also suggested that educational institutions become involved.
The program was launched by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who planted a seedling.
She stated at the time that the loss of forests was the cause of climate change.
