The COAS encourages national consensus in order to successfully navigate upcoming economic and security problems.
According to General Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan is currently undergoing one of the most perilous junctures in its whole history.

KARACHI: In order to lead the nation out of the current economic and security issues, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has emphasised the necessity for a national consensus.

At the 26th Short Service Commission and 118th Midshipmen’s Commissioning Parade, which took place at the Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi on Saturday, he was speaking in his capacity as Chief Guest. The Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi welcomed the COAS when he first arrived at the academy.

Gen. Munir was cited at the parade by the military’s media wing, the ISPR, as stating, “Pakistan is passing through one of her most important junctures and this necessitates creation of national consensus by all stakeholders to sail over the presented issues of economy and terrorism.”

The COAS congratulated the commissioning term for successfully completing their training and taking on the role of Pakistan’s maritime border guardians. He said, “Maritime domain is continuously evolving, primarily as a result of technology improvement, wherein only those navies would prevail and prove effective if they would be in line with professionalism and contemporary tendencies of warfare.

The army chief praised Pakistan Naval Academy for providing students from friendly nations as well as Pakistani students with high-quality education. He counselled the young officers to demonstrate conduct, integrity, professional aptitude, and foresight as future leaders.

Later, the Chief Guest presented prizes to the cadets who had displayed exceptional performance. Lt. Kashif Abdul Quyyom PN received the renowned Quaid-i-Azam Gold Medal for putting in his entire best effort. For all-around excellence, midshipman Naufil Malik received the coveted Sword of Honour.

Gen Munir, the head of the army, also went to Malir Garrison and presented a flower tribute to the martyrs’ memorial. At Malir Garrison, he also spoke to the officers of the Karachi Corps, Rangers, and other CAFs.

The COAS emphasised the necessity to concentrate on one’s career as well as the needs of contemporary warfare and directed information operations. When the COAS first arrived, Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar, Commander of the Karachi Corps, welcomed him.
