Rejecting speculation about his possible replacement, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori said he would stay in office as long as President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui continue to have faith in him.

Governor Tessori reaffirmed his dedication to the office, declaring that he will hold it for the duration of his tenure.

He emphasized that they have been working hard and mentioned that even if someone else made the promise to make the Governor’s House public, it was carried out under his direction.

As long as he has the support of the important leaders, Tessori promised to carry out his responsibilities.

Speaking to the media, Farooq Sattar of the MQM-P also addressed the rumors about the Governor’s removal, claiming that no such negotiations had occurred.

He complimented Tessori on the public welfare projects being carried out in the Governor House, stating that they are unmatched anywhere. If any governor has become more well-liked, Sattar continued, it is Kamran Tessori.

Express News reports that Dr. Salah bin Muhammad, the imam of Masjid al-Nabawi, paid a visit to Sindh House in Islamabad today, where Governor Tessori threw a banquet in his honor.

Discussions on topics of shared interest took place during the visit.

Governor Tessori thanked Imam Salah bin Muhammad in a joint media statement, emphasizing the importance of the Imam’s visit at his invitation.

He said that the visit will have a good effect and thanked the Imam and the Saudi authorities for their steadfast support of Pakistan.

Tessori noted that the Imam met with representatives of several political parties and underlined Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan.

During the meeting, special prayers were also said for Pakistan’s economic prosperity and security.
