FBR: What is the deadline for submitting tax returns?
Salaried businesspeople and groups of people are now required to file income tax returns with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) (AOPs).
The deadline for filing your taxes is October 31, 2022.
Ishaq Dar, the federal minister of finance and revenue, extended the deadline for reporting taxes on September 30 in response to requests from the business community.
According to a statement made earlier by the FBR, the board has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns for all taxpayers who were obligated to do so by September 30 to October 31 in response to petitions from various trade organizations, Tax Bar Associations, and the general public.
It should be noted that by using the Tax Aasaan application from the Google Play Store or App Store, income tax returns can also be filed online using smartphones.
The income tax return forms for the tax year 2022 have been uploaded by the FBR. It should be noted that different income tax return forms have been uploaded for salaried employees, AOPs, self-employed people, and businesses.
Either the Tax Asaan program or the FBR’s web portal (Iris System) can be used to file income tax returns.
