Arshad Nadeem, the javelin thrower from Pakistan, will get a reward of Rs. 100 million from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in honor of his gold medal win in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Chief Minister Maryam complimented Nadeem in her message, stating, “Well done, Arshad.” She emphasized that the country received a gift when he won the gold medal during Independence Day month, and that the reward is the nation’s way of showing its appreciation.

The establishment of a sports city in Mian Channu bearing Arshad Nadeem’s name was also announced by Chief Minister Maryam. She mentioned that Nadeem created a new Olympic record and overcome major obstacles to win Pakistan’s first gold medal in forty years.

“Arshad Nadeem’s dedication, hard work, and national spirit are evident in this achievement,” she stated.

She ended by wishing all Pakistani sons and daughters who fly the flag high on the international scene continued success.

Prior to this, the government of Sindh and Governor Kamran Tessori declared two distinct but noteworthy financial awards for Arshad Nadeem, who created history by taking home the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw at the Olympics in Paris.

In appreciation of Nadeem’s exceptional accomplishment, the Sindh government announced a reward of Rs50 million, and Governor Tessori pledged Rs1 million.

Governor Tessori commended Nadeem for his incredible feat and congratulated him on smashing the 118-year-old Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters.

He emphasized how Nadeem’s gold medal victory has made Pakistan extremely proud and happy, realizing the country’s long-held goal of winning an Olympic gold medal.

Murtaza Wahab, the Sindh government’s spokesperson and the mayor of Karachi, praised Nadeem’s accomplishment as well, saying that he had improved Pakistan’s standing internationally. Wahab underlined how proud the nation should be of Nadeem’s record-breaking achievement in the javelin throw final.

It’s important to remember that Pakistan last placed third on the Olympic podium on August 8, 1992, and that its last gold medal came from a hockey victory in 1984. This lengthy medal drought has been ended thanks to Arshad Nadeem’s historic triumph, which has greatly elevated national pride.
