KARACHI: The aviation ministry’s website was hacked three times in 24 hours, rendering it useless once more. On Wednesday, a ministry spokesman said that after the cyberattacks, important information had been taken down from the website.

Note that hackers had also gotten into the website for the air ministry the day before, but it was quickly fixed. But the hackers have done it again and are now able to get into the website.

There was information on the dark web in 2022 from all government and private websites that had been stolen in the previous year. They thought that Pakistan’s cyber protection was not good enough.

Kokab Zuberi, Director of the Forensic Research and Services Center at Lahore University, told The Express Tribune what the dark web was when they asked him about it. “You need special software to get to the dark web, which is a part of the internet.” There is a lot of crime in that world that not even the police can get to, he said.

It was said by Zuberi that websites on the dark web can’t be found on Google searches. “People on dark web are also involved in money laundering, trade of stolen credentials, child pornography and the buying and selling of scamming devices via which bank account data can be hacked,” he said.
