ISLAMABAD: India media allegations that linked Pakistan to the recent events that resulted in Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s fall have been sharply refuted by Pakistan.

Pakistan disapproves of all of these claims. These quotes highlight India’s unsettling fixation with Pakistan. Speaking at a press conference on Friday, international Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated, “Indian political leaders and their media have a habit of blaming Pakistan for their failures in domestic and foreign policy.”

According to the spokeswoman, Pakistan has conveyed its unwavering solidarity and support for the people of Bangladesh as they strive to build a peaceful future.

She also verified to the media that Professor Muhammad Younus, the leader of Bangladesh’s interim administration, took an oath of office at the hands of Pakistan’s high commissioner in Dhaka.

The FO spokeswoman emphasized that violence in the region must be avoided and added that Pakistan would support any initiatives aimed at bringing about peace in the Middle East.

The foreign office spokesperson denied claims that Pakistan had agreed to provide ballistic missiles to Iran for an assault on the Jewish State, even as Iran gets ready for potential strikes against Israel in retaliation for the murder of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

The Jerusalem Post published the information first, and the Indian media subsequently carried it.

These reports are demonstrably untrue. It’s crucial to consider the hostile purpose and the source of such unfounded information before you pay any heed to them. The Middle East is going through a difficult moment. Therefore, we strongly advise everyone—including the media—to refrain from spreading false information, according to Baloch.

In response to a question concerning Pakistan’s plans and readiness for an imminent Iranian strike on Israel, the spokesperson stated that the Middle East must remain peaceful.

“First, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran spoke by phone with the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan regarding the latest developments in the Middle East, particularly the killing of the head of Hamas’s Political Bureau, and he expressed Iran’s concerns regarding the recent development,” the statement read.

She continued by saying that the OIC had also had a lengthy discussion about this matter.

Pakistan has denounced the assassination with great vigor. We vehemently denounce Israel’s adventurism in the area. We have consistently demanded an immediate, unconditional ceasefire and the easing of the siege in Gaza since October of last year because we think that Israeli activities against the Palestinian people and their neighbors are causing instability in the area.

We also think that there should be no conflict in the Middle East. Pakistan will thus back all initiatives aimed at maintaining Middle East peace, the official declared.

It’s thought that Pakistan supported initiatives aimed at defusing tensions by interacting behind the scenes with pertinent parties.

Pakistan is concerned that any intensification or possibility of a broader conflict could have detrimental effects on the nation.

According to the spokesperson, the OIC made it very evident at its extraordinary meeting that Israel was responsible for Ismail Haniyey’s death.

The meeting covered the occupation force’s continued crimes against the Palestinian people as well as its violations of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s sovereignty. It’s a really clear statement. It has blamed Israel for the horrific assault that resulted in Mr. Ismail Haniyeh’s murder,” she declared.

The OIC described the move as an act of aggression, a blatant transgression of international law and the UN Charter, and a grave breach of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security, she said.

It also issued a warning that the security and stability of the area are threatened by Israel’s continuous atrocities. It has called for the UN Security Council, which is primarily in charge of upholding global peace and security, to act swiftly and effectively.

“Therefore, I must emphasize that in accordance with international law, the United Nations Security Council bears the responsibility of maintaining international peace and making sure that the Middle East region does not spiral into chaos and violence,” the spokesperson emphasized.
