Israel and Iran only agree on one thing: they don’t want a two-state settlement. This was said by Iran’s foreign minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, at an international meeting in Doha on Monday.
During the meeting, Amirabdollahian repeated Iran’s call for a referendum to decide what should happen to Palestine. Only the children and grandchildren of people who lived there before 1948 would be able to vote.
Most countries say they want to see a separate Palestinian state along with Israel. People who don’t like Israeli policy say that the country’s measures are meant to stop this from happening.
