At a meeting to assess ongoing development projects at the Capital Development Authority (CDA), a decision was made.

The Federal Secretariat renovation, the improvements to the Diplomatic Enclave, and the implementation of smart parking solutions were among the other projects that were discussed at the conference and their respective status.

Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chairman of the CDA, gave a thorough briefing on these measures.

Naqvi placed a strong emphasis on making Islamabad a world-class city, including green initiatives like limiting bike purchases to electric models and switching to electric buses that are less harmful to the environment for public transportation.

Moreover, the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad (MCI) would hand over its obligations to the CDA, guaranteeing emergency services that meet international standards.

A new Capital Water and Sanitation Agency (Capital WASA) is also being established.

Naqvi declared that the F-9 Park Chowk flyover and the Serena Chowk underpass projects would soon be under development.

Long-delayed developments in Islamabad’s underdeveloped areas would likewise proceed more quickly.

After being put on hold for 17 years, the Islamabad Model Jail project is moving quickly again, with the first phase expected to be finished on time.

As the meeting came to an end, Naqvi praised the CDA team for their record tax collection and emphasized the importance of improving institutional assets in addition to selling land and plots.
