MIRPUR: Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU), which is based in Brussels, will hold Kashmir’s EU Week from December 5 to 15 at the European Headquarters in Brussels. This was announced by KC-EU Chairman Ali Raza Syed in a statement on Sunday. There will be a media conference, seminars, discussions, and a photo show at the European Press Club Brussels and the European Parliament, among other places.

Along with these important foreign events, the Kashmir EU Week agenda includes many meetings with European officials, members of the European Parliament, and representatives from human rights and civil society groups.

As Ali Raza Syed pointed out, these week-long events have been a regular thing for KC-EU for a long time. The events are meant to both show off Kashmir’s rich cultural mix and bring attention to the hard lives of the oppressed Kashmiri people living in Europe.

He said he was worried that while the world’s attention is on the difficult situation in Ukraine and the Middle East, the Modi government would use this to do some terrible things in the Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Part of India’s evil plans is to kill thousands of Kashmiris without a trial, arrest people without a reason, and use harsh methods like changing residence rules to change the population of Kashmir. He said that many Kashmiri activists and leaders, including Yasin Malik, are being held or arrested right now and that the goal is to silence strong views in support of Kashmir.

He said nice things about Yasin Malik, who is going to be in court on December 5. He said that we honor Yasin Malik and other brave leaders and activists in Kashmir and are grateful for their guts.
