Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has expressed “heartfelt” condolences to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the death of his mother.
The former PM expressed his “deep sadness” at the death of PM Narendra Modi’s mother in a tweet on Saturday.
Heeraben Modi, the mother of the Indian prime minister, passed away at the age of 99 on Friday morning.
“We offer PM Narendra Modi and his family our sincere sympathies for the awful and irreparable loss. The leader of the PML-N remarked, “May she rest in peace.
On Twitter, the Indian prime minister posted a picture of his deceased mother along with the phrase “a beautiful century lies at the feet of God.”
He said in his ode that he had “always felt that trinity in Maa, which encompasses the path of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi, and a life committed to principles.”
She told him to “always work with knowledge and live life with purity,” as he recalled meeting her on her 100th birthday.
At a crematorium in Gandhinagar, the state of Gujarat’s capital, Modi and his brothers reportedly carried out their mother’s final rituals.
According to the allegation, the Indian prime minister and his older brother Somabhai Modi were spotted lighting their mother’s funeral pyre while other family members gathered around them.
Due to his poor condition, Heeraben was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Her physicians had indicated she was recuperating and stable at the time.
According to NDTV, Heeraben resided in Raysan village, close to Gandhinagar, with Pankaj Modi, the elder brother of Modi.
