According to Express News, severe monsoon rains have caused roof collapses in various parts of the country, resulting in the deaths of 12 people and the injuries of a large number of others. The severe weather has also caused widespread destruction, particularly in areas with abandoned housing.

The tragic collapse of a three-room house in the village of Kot Murtaza in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa resulted in the deaths of three people, including two women and a child.

The weighty downpours have been credited to the reason for this calamity, with three harmed people being moved to a nearby emergency clinic for treatment.

Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of K-P, offered his condolences and announced that monetary assistance would be provided to the affected families.

Meanwhile, a young girl was killed when her house’s veranda collapsed in the Lower Dir neighborhood of Samar Bagh.

Her body was found among the debris by locals and family members.

In the Charsadda region, a house breakdown in Umarzai Chandaro Dag harmed two individuals, one of whom, 60-year-old Jannat Bibi, later surrendered to her wounds at a neighborhood medical clinic.

Four people died in separate incidents due to rising floodwaters in Karak’s Takht Nasrati tehsil.

The bodies of the victims—60-year-old Aurangzeb, 12-year-old Aryan, the son of Alamzeb, 11-year-old Asad Umar, and 26-year-old Shehzad, the son of Muhammad Ayaz—were recovered by Rescue 1122 teams.

The ongoing rain claimed the lives of two people, including a woman, in the Jamshoro district of Sindh.

The region has seen varying amounts of precipitation, which has resulted in flooding in a number of places, including Kohistan, where communication systems have been hampered.

A woman died from her injuries four days earlier in the Jhelum district of Punjab from a roof collapse.

Her ten-year-old daughter had already died as a result of the previous incident.

Thankfully, the newborn boy who was injured in the incident is said to be stable.

As Pakistan continues to face the challenges of the monsoon season, these incidents highlight the urgent need for improved infrastructure and public safety measures to prevent further tragedies.
