Barro is charged with accumulating wealth via power abuse and corruption.

In the most recent development, Buriro’s properties have been officially sought to be detailed by NAB Karachi. Additionally, details about the properties held by 12 individuals—including his family members—have been requested.

All of Sindh’s deputy commissioners have received letters from NAB Karachi requesting that they produce detailed property records—including houses, shops, plots, and apartments—relating to the 12 Buriro family members, including Saima Khatoon, Nasir Hussain, Esha Bano, and Humaira Bano.

After a protracted period of delay of more than five years, the NAB has finally started the investigation.

In the meantime, it has come to light that the 200 acres of land registered in Sinjhoro tehsil of Sanghar district have been altered.

With the help of revenue officers, Ashfaq Sriwal, Imdad Sriwal, Ehsan Sriwal, and Nisar Mangrio had their land records altered in Sinjhoro, according to sources. The Revenue Department and the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) have launched independent investigations into the issue of fraudulent record-changing.

The mukhtiarkar of the Sinjhoro tehsil has been instructed in writing by the anti-corruption investigating officer to produce all of the records. However, the illegal water course that was dug out to settle the land was also seen by the Secretary of Irrigation, who gave the order to close the watercourse and take appropriate action.

Rana Wajid, the nephew of the former MPA, is also accused of putting up an illegal petrol station on the property; this is being looked into, ACE officials told The Express Tribune.
