In an interview with a private news channel, infectious disease specialist Dr. Waqar Naeem emphasized the value of readiness and understanding in averting monsoon-related illnesses.

“It’s critical that citizens are aware of the risks and take the appropriate precautions, as monsoon diseases like cholera, typhoid, and dengue are a major health concern,” he stated. The medical professional also emphasized how critical it is to get help right away if symptoms worsen. “In order to avoid complications and save lives, early detection and treatment are essential,” he continued.

In order to shield themselves and their loved ones from the scourge of vector- and waterborne-borne illnesses, citizens are urged to exercise caution and preventive measures. Together, we can make sure that the monsoon season is both safe and healthy.

In addition, the health expert recommended that people wash their fruits and vegetables well, avoid eating food from roadside vendors, and get vaccinated against the flu, typhoid, and hepatitis A.

In order to get rid of stagnant water, he also advised people to routinely check and clean coolers, flower pots, bird baths, and water containers. They should also only drink boiling or purified water.
