Netflix has announced that it is developing a “brand-new AAA PC game.”
Netflix has assembled a new team to work on the development of its first generation of internally-developed original games.
At its recently opened games studio in Los Angeles, streaming service Netflix is currently recruiting game directors and engineers to work on a “brand-new AAA PC game.”
The streaming service has not yet made an official announcement concerning the venture. Nevertheless, according to a job listing that was discovered by Mobilegamer.biz, Netflix is looking for a game director who “will be the creative leader of one of Netflix’s first generation of internally developed original games.”
There are a number of job postings available, but other than that, there are not many details available about the new project.
The digital platform has in the past introduced some games, but those games were designed with mobile devices in mind. Even though many of Netflix’s users aren’t aware of the platform’s gaming offerings, the company has plans to expand its audience by entering the PC gaming market.
